History

Marked by ethics and creative spirit, the history of Adeste still begins in Europe, with the emergence of the friendship between Anton Kratschmer and Franz Kienast, who would later found the company’s first company, already in Brazil.

Follow our timeline:

  • 1952

Friends Kratschmer and Kienast reunite in Brazil and see the possibility of investing in the sausage market, hardly explored at the time. Thus they founded Kraki, bringing the sheeo casings to Brazil for sausages, as well as offering customized solutions for customers in meat additives.

  • 1955

The combination of technology with the need for a factory results in another company, in the city of Tatuí, which works in the manufacture of natural beef casings.

  • 1974

During the processes to produce the casings at Kraki, we thought of a new way to use the bovine serous that was extracted in this process. Until a creative eye noticed the possibility of making use of this element for new purposes, and so began the production of tennis racket yarn, establishing a partnership with a French company, which was already aware of this product, in the city of Araçatuba, São Paulo. However, in the mid-1990s, we began using this technology and serous to create surgical suture threads, or catgut, debuting our company in the healthcare industry.

  • 1984

Start of activities of a new by-products factory, at the Jaguapitã site, where we use the mucosa (inner casing of the gut) to produce Heparin, an anticoagulant used in hospital procedures; in addition, we also produce chondroitin sulfate, or CSA, from ox cartilage, which is used in medicines for joint problems.

  • 1986

First diversification movement outside the gut production chain. The Campo Grande site emerges with the production of fetal bovine serum for growing medium, drug development and vaccines.

  • 2001

The Biodog brand is born, initially within the Tatuí site, with a look to innovation and use of resources, as well as rebar for the production of gourmet snacks for dogs. Shortly thereafter, Biodog was already producing its own factory in Botucatu.

  • 2003

We started to work with the extraction of Annato.

  • 2009

Creation of the Adeste holding. Creation of new corporate functions and unification of the management model.

  • 2014

Our Annato extraction company becomes Verto, continuing the professional planting of the seed, at the Cabixi site, in Rondônia.

  • Hoje

Driven by the 3rd generation of the Kratschmer and Kienast families, Adeste continues to focus on expanding the business, with relentless insight and pulsating creativity working to find new ways to produce, surpassing existing standards and constantly pushing beyond its limits.
